festive!

hello again

The Great Return! Wow, I haven't posted in exactly one week. Feels strange. I guess I've been busier lately than I thought. A recap: two separate shopping sprees (wait, 3) in Old Town, Pasadena. Happy Hour with coworkers. The best work party ever (Prosecco & beers , dancing , enormous buffet, 50 people playing white elephant), Happy Hour # 2 w/coworkers, Happy Hour # 3 w/girlfriend, etc. Today, hubby and I both have the day off. I can't remember the last time this happened. Certainly wasn't in the winter or fall season. We just started our day off with toast topped with pumpkin cream cheese, oh yes. And peppermint coffee. Ah, I love trader joe's (so much that I work there once a week now, more on that later....) Debating all kinds of things for our day-definitely xmas shopping and gym, possibly Black Swan viewing. For now, I leave you with this image I stole from Pergolina's lovely blog-if you live anywhere near LA (specifically Toluca Lake) this store is a must. Anyway, I WANT that lamp to float above my coffee table, in that absolutely perfect shade of blue/green. xo!

I'm not sure when i'll be back in the blog-world. the blog-land. my happy spot. we leave in a few to see our friend spin some new tunes, then tomorrow night=holiday party w/finger foods, vino, secret santa, and white elephant. friday night=i'm hosting a potluck. saturday night=bday party for my cousin at a chinese restaurant in the valley followed by our favorite bday party every year in an old home in pasadena. all these days, including sunday, it's work work work during the day. so i say, goodbye for now!

Oh yeah, I'm supposed to have a focus here, huh? A project that I can document on my blog, so there's some sort of a purpose here. My balcony. Sigh, yes, balcony. I know we're so lucky to have one, considering how small our apt is. There's so much to be done. And either so little time, or so little motivation. And my free time is about to become much more limited-between my 4 employers, I potentially will be working 7 days a week, for as long as I can handle it. That means no sunlight when I finally make it home. That's a problem, as our balcony is insufficiently lit. Well, I'm not giving up....here's a few images I've been holding onto for too long, thus I know longer remember where I got them from, argh. That's bad, so sorry.

Can you see me? I'm nodding my head. Yes, please, I want it all. Chunky leg-warmers, a new clutch, turquoise vases, a cozy cardigan. All spotted on Bliss.

hair dilemma

i'm really digging Kate's bangs in the top image-i guess the key is that they (the bangs) start pretty far back on her head, so that they appear long and full yet aren't in her eyes. I'm wanting to go back to bangs, but i'm also debating no bangs, and just parting my hair smack dab in the center, such as the 2nd image, which my hubby kinda voted for. we'll see who wins ;)
